I Hate Being Ignored!

I keep myself pretty busy with projects which you most likely already know. I stay up late, wake up early and try to cram as much in to each day as I absolutely can. My mom said I was the exact same way growing up. It’s like I wanted to be awake all the time just so I didn’t miss anything. 30 years later, not much has changed. Hell, I started writing this post at 11:53 PM even though I need to get up in 6 hours for work…

Well, I have been working on an idea that would involve a couple buddies who would all do some writing for a web based project I’ve had rattling around in my brain. But, rather than do a half-assed job (like I do on so many other projects), I wanted the site to have a certain look. To get that look I felt it would be best to buy professional pictures from a place like getty images or wire images (names written with no links on purpose). So, I went to both of their sites and looked around and found that they both had plenty of what I was looking for. Since my plan was to take some of their images, chop them up and put them on a different website, AND the fact that I’d be using new images most every day, I thought it best to contact them and find out what my price for doing such a thing would be. Mind you, I understand that it’s going to be expensive. After visiting both sites, I ended up emailing the sales staff at both sites. It has now been about 2 weeks and neither of them have responded. Not even a letter telling me to go screw myself. Or, a condecending message telling me to come back when I have an esablished site to put their work on… Man that pisses me off!

Here’s what it boils down to. I want something that they have for sale. I have money to pay for the items I want. However, with pre-sales customer service like this, it only makes me wonder what would happen if I ever needed support AFTER becoming a customer… so, ya know what, screw them both. I am no longer interested in using your photos. There are plenty of places to purchase photos on the web. Sure, you may have a larger selection, but, at the end of the day, I’ll be happy to know that my money is going to a company that is willing to at least respond to an email asking how best to send them money.
