Listen to your wife!
For about a month my wife had been telling me to go see the doctor. She didn’t like the look of a spot on my cheek that she said had been changing colors. Well, I’m thick headed and basically ignored here. Finally, she made an apointment for me. I go in to the office and when the doc walks in, he takes one look and says, “I don’t like the look of that. I want you to see a specialist.” Ahh great…
A week later I go to see the specialist. When she comes in to the room, she takes one look and says, “I don’t like the look of that. I want to take it off.” She schedules me for a Biopsy. A week later I go back and she cuts a chunk out of my cheek. I spend the next 10 days on edge. Even though I was telling myself not to worry about it, I was worried.
When I went back for the results, the doctor gave me the news. I have skin cancer. I’ll be having surgery early next month to remove it. This requires another chunk to be taken from my cheek. Once again, I’m telling myself not to worry about it, but, I can feel it creeping in a little bit already.
So, had it not been for my wife pointing it out and then forcing me to the Dr, I would have let this go and who knows what sort of trouble that would end up causing. So, pay attention when I say, Listen to your wife! She knows what’s best for you!
